Artist Bio

Albert Gonzales, a dynamic post-contemporary artist from the lively art scene of San Antonio, Texas, draws inspiration from a diverse array of influential artists. His creative journey is a captivating fusion of post-WWII visionaries like Jackson Pollock, Keith Haring, and Jean-Michel Basquiat, as well as the timeless genius of Henri Matisse and Vincent van Gogh. This unique blend of influences is the foundation upon which Gonzales builds his artistic legacy.

Gonzales's canvas knows no boundaries, effortlessly transitioning from abstract musings to the tranquil world of still life. Every stroke of his brush is a fearless exploration of bold color palettes, resulting in the creation of artworks that exude exuberance, offering viewers a journey into realms of fun and unpredictability. As both the creator and a compelling commentator on his own artistic narrative, Gonzales's charismatic showmanship ignites the flames of passion that drive his creative spirit.

Albert Gonzales's accolades and contributions to the art world are substantial. He has held a solo exhibition titled "Step Inside My Mind," participated in group exhibitions, and collaborated with renowned artists for city-wide art projects. With over a hundred paintings sold in a single year, his artistry has earned a place of honor in the UTSA Art Collection, while his philanthropic spirit is evident through generous contributions to various charitable events. Gonzales's exquisitely minimal abstract flower paintings make him a significant artist, bridging the past and future, and cementing his place in the contemporary art landscape..
